Muhammad (on whom be peace), the light of the Pen is from the light of Muhammad (on whom be peace), the light of the Tablet is from the light of Muhammad (on whom be peace), the light of day, the light of knowledge, the light of the sun and the moon and the light of vision and sight are all from the light of Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him).”
Knowing the extreme greatness of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace) as the Servant and the Messenger of ALLAH, Sayyadana Caliph Ali, the brother of the Prophet Muhammad (may ALLAH be pleased with him) exclaimed the invocation to ALLAH when he left the grave of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace), lifting up his hands he said: “Lord! He was Thy first creation, his apparent death is not a sign of his mortality, he lifted the gloom prevailing before the creation started, he was a proof of Thy Glory and Benevolence, he had come to us from the Realm of Thy Love and Glory, and was our guide towards that Realm. His soul was the Emblem of Thy Supreme Might, his body was the master-piece of Thy Creation and his mind was Thy Treasure house” (Tibree Vol. III pages 202 and 203).
The Splendour of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
The Psalms of David quotes: “O LORD, the king rejoices on your strength… You welcomed him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked you for life, and you gave it to him — length of days forever and ever. Through the victories you gave, his glory is great; you have bestowed on him splendour and majesty. Surely, You have granted him eternal blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. For, the king trusts in the LORD; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken” (See: Psalms 21 and the Midrash, on the first and fourth verses; Rabbi Shilomo Itzchaki attaches the same interpretation to v.7, and the Targum to v.8.).
To which Midrash on the Psalms adds that, this is the king of Messiah, who has been hidden until the last days. Indeed, ALLAH created the sacred light of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the asylums of Prophecy, before the heavens or earth, throne or table of decrees or Divine pen or paradise or hell were formed. The light of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) passed invariably from Adam to the generations of the blessed lineage until it reached Abdullah the son of Abdul Mutallib (Peace Be Unto them).
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was blessed with ALLAH’s own contentment, and adorned with the robes of His Holiness. His head was raised to the summit of exaltation by the crown of religious direction. “There is no God but ALLAH; Muhammad (on whom be peace) is the Apostle of ALLAH” is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. It is the recognition of the Absolute Oneness of ALLAH and the recognition of all the Prophets from the chain of the Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Unto them).
