Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him): The First Creation of ALLAH
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of ALLAH be upon him) is the splendid light of guidance for all times. When ALLAH wished to reveal Himself before the creation of any form, He created the light of the blessed Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace). He then drew from this light of original wisdom, the ‘Nur-e-Muhammadi’, on whom be peace, and then diffused this light in every direction thereby imparting His being to the creation. Thus, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of ALLAH be upon him) says, “Truly I was [already], in the sight of ALLAH, the Seal of Prophets, when Adam was still kneaded in his clay. I shall inform you of the meaning (ta’wil) of this. It is the supplication of my father Abraham (Qur’an 2:129) and the glad tidings of my brother Jesus to his people (Qur’an 61:6); and the vision my mother saw the night I was delivered. She saw a Light that lit the palaces of Syro-Palestine so that she could see them” – (Imam Ahmad (780–855 CE / 164–241 AH) in his “Musnad al- Shamiyyin”).
Therefore, Prophet Muhammad, on whom be peace, as being the king Messiah in 1 Enoch, called as “the Righteous One, and the Son of Man (Adam), is depicted as a pre-existent heavenly being who is resplendent and majestic” (I Enoch in vol. 1-9: The Old Testament, Charlesworth (ed), Doubleday: 1983).
Prophet Muhammad, on whom be peace, was concealed from the beginning and the Almighty cherished him and kept him protected in the warmth and glory of His power; He then revealed him to the holy and the elected ones – (See: I Enoch 62.7). And thus he was “…given a name in the presence of the Lord of the Spirits, even before the creation of the sun and the moon, and before the creation of the stars” – (See: I Enoch 48.2, Messianic Expectations in 1st Century Judaism).
Prophet Muhammad, on whom be peace, is the first manifestation of the Divine Power. From his light emerges the impenetrable, absolutely incomprehensible vastness of the Divine Essence. He is the first being in the unfolding of the creation of the universe. He is the screen through which the Divine attributes flow into the rest of existence and a great shield by which creation is protected from the overwhelming power of the Divine Majesty. He is the highest manifestation of the names and attributes of ALLAH and the means by which they flow into the rest of the creation – (See: Abdalhaqq Bewley and Aisha Bewley (the British and the American couple who reverted to Islam and now well known for their prolific Islamic Sufi interpretation), Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), www.bewley.virtualave.net, 2011).
He is Muhammad, the Prophet, the Messenger, the servant of ALLAH, upon him be lasting peace, who was born in Makkah tul Mukarram after about an interval of 600 years of the Jesus Christ (Peace be unto them) – (See: Sahih al-Bukhari). He was given complete realisation of his incomparable station with the Lord of the Universe during the Night of Ascent.
